Mini Gastric Bypass Surgery

Mini gastric bypass can be performed in a shorter time compared to other bypass operations, so it is preferred more. It contains an anastomosis rather than two, its metabolic effects are more pronounced and it is easier to recover.

In this surgery performed with laparoscopic procedure, a small pouch in the form of a thin tube is created on the upper part of the stomach. Compared to the round stomach pouch in the classical bypass, its expansion rate is lower over time. 

Later, a portion of 200 cm of small intestines is enteroanastomosis. In this way, some of the fat and calories taken are removed. Again, unlike classical bypass, meso gaps that may lead to intestinal knotting in the future do not occur here and this risk is lower.
